I had the fun, fun, fun honor of producing this for PIRATE NEW YORK. Eat your heart out Tay Zonday!
PANCAKES. PANCAKES.
When you hear that 6 note chime you salivate like the Pavlovian breakfast lover you are for IHOP! The new nationwide campaign theme “Make It An I IHOP Day” is by WATT WHITE for PIRATE NEW YORK. See it on many upcoming spots for both TV and radio. Rooty, Tooty; Fresh and…well you know the rest.
FEELING THE SUBWAY for PIRATE NEW YORK!
You may have seen my Subway Restaurant Triple-Play; with me singing my “I’m Feeling The Subway” anthem (as well as providing the VoiceOver), I missed out on the Grand Slam by not appearing IN the spot. I can frolic on boardwalks…: ( There’s always next season.
OFF THE GRID
“OFF THE GRID” by Watt White drops today! As featured on iTunes “New and Noteworthy” page: A New Yorker (WW) and a Torontonian (Chris Perry) got together to write a country-fied anthem of logging off and kicking back. I performed it in Key West in April and those guys really embrace the concept. Grab a cold one–and your shotgun–and enjoy.
FEAR without Loathing
Nathan Phillips’ new video series MANFEAR. Doing the music for this series was a labor of love. Love and FEAR.
WATT’s UP DOG
WATT’s latest spot for PIRATE features an updated arrangement of Vangelis’ “Chariots Of Fire” theme which segues into a paws-in-the-air jam. I called Vangelis and he was like: “jumping dogs are tres bien bro”. So he’s not going to sue.
WATT CRUZEs for PIRATA
WATT’s latest spot for PIRATA features an updated arrangement of Double You’s immortal cover of KC and the Sunshine Band’s timeless “Please Don’t Go”. Feat. WATT on vocals! Just wanted to say “Feat.”.
WATT = Rock Band Hero
Following in the footsteps of THE DUKE OF GRAVITY and other virtual rock stars of note, “THE COUNTDOWN” written by WATT WHITE and Cliff Lin–featuring WATT on vocals– will be featured as a downloadable ROCK BAND song. Video here:
Amalie Bruun performs “1BR APT Symphony” by Watt White & Amalie Bruun LIVE on Danish TV. God formiddag!
WATT Produces “Branches” EP by Amalie Bruun
WATT has recently finished producing 3 tracks on the upcoming EP “Branches” by rising Danish/NYC artist Amalie Bruun.
Coming soon from European label Easy Tiger Records, this EP includes 3 songs produced by Watt White including the single “1 Bedroom Apartment Symphony”, co-written by Watt and Amalie.
Along with the other tracks “It Had To Be Me” and “F***ing Fine”, the production bears a unique sonic fingerprint–homemade sounds, throbbing rhythms, lush harmonies and a one of a kind quirk–equal parts devastation and whimsy. Expect to see Amalie live in NYC and beyond soon.
